Push-Pull Encoder

Besides basic parameters, when connecting an encoder to the drive or motor, it is necessary to consider the type of connection. And the part that is responsible for it, is an output driver mounted in the encoder.

Today, analog encoders are mostly replaced by digital solutions, generally, with Push-Pull (or HTL) output driver. This output type provides the signal that depends on supply voltage and it is usually of 8-30 VDC.

With a Push-Pull connection, open collector circuits can be avoided as they could be replaced with a diode that will limit current and guide its direction.

For Push-Pull output driver, high capability and noise resistance are essential.
